Development Operations Manager
Role:
The Development Operations Manager will oversee the development team’s system operations to execute fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives, supporting short- and long-term organizational revenue objectives. This position collaborates with various departments to translate business needs into effective technical solutions, ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our project management and CRM ecosystem. They also support leadership team members as an operational thought partner by determining revenue projections and trends from within Salesforce to drive optimal business impact.

Responsibilities:
Develop a clear and efficient operations system
- Build, optimize, and manage the Salesforce CRM system to track leads, deals, partnerships, campaigns, and performance analytics.
- Design and manage the Advancement team’s Asana project management workflows that support team goals, project timelines, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Implement and oversee segmentation used for email outreach and campaign tracking.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools or systems to improve efficiency and visibility across the Advancement team.
- Create operating procedures and conduct regular training to ensure the team is confident and consistently using all Advancement tools.
Maintain relevant reporting on pipeline and campaign performance
- Maintain an accurate, actionable, up-to-date Advancement pipeline that enables strategic prioritization and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Chief Advancement Officer to develop and deliver revenue forecasts, deal insights, and partnership reports.
- Proactively identify blockers, gaps, or inefficiencies in partnership funnel management and recommend operational solutions.
Provide team enablement, coordination, and strategic support
- Coordinate meeting scheduling and logistics for the Chief Advancement Officer.
- Ensure the Advancement team's goals, project status, and action items are consistently updated and reported.
- Coordinate with Advancement senior leaders to build internal team communications, dashboards, and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales operations, business development coordination, or CRM/project management roles.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM administration, customization, deployment, and reporting.
- Experience designing and managing project management workflows in Asana or similar project management platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Experience in a nonprofit, fundraising, or business development setting.
- Confidence in collaborating with executive leaders and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Familiarity with email campaign platforms (e.g., Pardot, HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.) is a plus.
Reliable High-Speed Internet Required: Must have a stable high-speed internet connection to support seamless remote collaboration, virtual meetings, online job tasks, etc.
The full salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $67,000- $80,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location. We pay competitively in the tech-forward nonprofit space and offer a robust benefits package.
